How prepared do I need to be as a client?
You need a solid idea and as your pre-game homework will outline, a starting point for your content. Remember, we’re not building your business, we’re building your website.

What about a logo?
Have one you love? Great! I’ll be honest about whether it will work well online and we can use it as long as you’ve got a web-appropriate version. Don’t have one? That’s okay too! This process is about getting you online in a polished way - not about your forever brand. I have built logos for clients in this program and I have also had clients who want a simple type-treatment, not a mark. Pro tip: you probably don’t even realize how often you visit sites as a consumer that don’t have a logo! I assure you, it happens a lot, and you’re definitely still buying from them!

Can I add a logo later?
Absolutely! You can ALWAYS layer in more brand. In fact, this is a container to facilitate that kind of growth! Whether you come back to me for more comprehensive branding or you go to another provider, Squarespace is an excellent, industry leader that is friendly and built for constant evolution.

What’s included in each session?
We’re going to work from minute 1 to minute 60 in and on your website. I bring decades of experience in branding and marketing to the table paired with this brain of mine, expertly attuned to helping you make your ideas real. I’m going to keep brining your attention back to the goal: a live website — and all you have to do it show up and answer my questions.

What’s this “pre-game homework” you keep mentioning?
Look, I’m good - and I can make a site out of almost nothing - but something from nothing is not what you want. Before our first session you’ll be filling out a creative brief and providing some content. This part will ask you to think about your business and brand strategically. It will help me understand what you need and what you have. You will also be creating a Pinterest board. I promise to make this part as painless as possible - and empower you with a quick example for how to do this right!

Any other homework to plan for?
Maybe! Between sessions you might have a little work to do too. That will be based on the complexity of what you’re building. For example, if you need an online store, we’ll build one product together and then you can duplicate that product to add all the other ones. Similarly, if you need a portfolio of ~50 images, we’ll start it with 3-5 and you can add the rest on your own time after I’ve shown you how!

Is there a page limit?
Technically it’s not hard to set up many many pages in SQS - but a bunch of boring pages isn’t going to help you sell your work. I like to focus on 5 “special pages” and if you need a couple more, we’ll talk about it. Remember - you will also be learning how to use SQS so you will be empowered to add more pages after our work together is done.

Do you offer any discounts for site creation?
If you’re already a member of the Button Up Membership or my 3-Mo Program, you get 10% off all other services. Make sure you ask me about that if you’re already an existing client!

Will you help me with ongoing site maintenance?
If you’re asking will I be your web-master? Awe, I’m honored, but no. I have no interest in being on the hook for on-going changes and/or an unknown scope that changes month to month. I DO however have a membership that a lot of website clients use as a monthly opportunity to have me make revisions to their sites. Those membership clients have the autonomy to book their sessions when they need them and we use their 60 minute meetings to run down a punch list they’ve built of new pages, page edits, design requests, content editing, or a myriad other things. So, in a way, sure, I’ll be your web-master!

Why Coaching and Branding?
