Take what you like, leave the rest.

I was inspired this morning by an email newsletter I’m subscribed to. Of course - my attention diverted to someone else’s marketing email - reminding me “I should do those better too.”

Yesterday I spent :30 looking for the perfect gif of someone banging on a control panel as a means to illustrate what it feels like when I’m “trying all the things” for my business growth.

  1. Google places says Neon Cardigan needs an ad? K, done. (It’s on the right.) And I tossed it in the FB Stories - wtfn?

  2. Create a marketing video for the coaching practice? Got one.

  3. Advertise the Memberships - uh huh.

  4. Do the IG daily. You know I do!

  5. Grow the mailing list? Yup. (Join in the footer of every page on the site - wink.)

  6. Onboard new coaching clients - all the time!

  7. Meet with companies - sell the workplace wellness with Team Work? Doing.It.

Yeah, yo. I do ALL that. Every week. All the time. And I do rest too. Yes, I do.

And still, on this hump-day, I’m looking around like…

How do we know WHERE to put our energies? Even in the conscious space of not caring about the HOW - and knowing we can’t control the WHEN - and suspending anxieties about the WHY - and still trying to suss out what the WHAT it’s all about?

Dear goddess - my grip is loose and my goals are clear. I’m dripping in gratitude for what I’ve learned and all that I am able to give. My body aches with ancestral trauma that I look at and work with daily. I show up. I am conscious. So, what now?

“I’m in the business of throwing spaghetti.”

I say all the time “I’m in the business of throwing spaghetti” to see what sticks. Today, this blog is an exercise. Another blog. Sure. Blogs are GOOD for SEO. And the soul? Meh. Questionable. “Mehbe” (see what I did there?)

You know what’s good for the soul? Translating all this into value for other people - and I do. You can trust that even when my best is whining about a lack of alignment and abundance, I’m still here, helping so many others work on the same things. I am the teacher - the teacher is the student. The student is the expert teacher. Bloop.

Here’s what that morning newsletter inspired: We’re all at a cosmic buffet! It’s full of options - ways to spend our days — ways to spend our money. Avenues that mean more of the same and other decisions that require we blow it all up. #burnitdown

We’re all just filling our plates from the universal buffet of choice!*

Holy shit - what a great metaphor. We probably should craft a well-rounded plate - but then, we shouldn’t should ourselves… Should we? I think maybe we just pick the things that we like and fill up on that. Fat and happy on selfish choice that moves the needle? Okay. I’ll try that today.

So in case you needed permission too - please do take this as such and ENJOY WHATEVER YOU DO TODAY. Pick the music, eat the cake, light that candle, or do whatever - but do try to be full of things you like.

And I am. Even from here — when I wanna be there. You?
